About Hill's Pet Community

Hill's Pet Community is an online community of pet parents who participate in product trials centered around the health of their pets. This community is free to join, and by becoming a member, you gain access to helpful pet resources and have the opportunity to participate in exciting product tests, with products delivered straight to your door.

Hill's Pet Community is only available in USA at this time.

As a member, all we expect is honesty in your feedback and completion of all tasks for the product tests in which you participate. The answers you provide are helping to shape the future of pet health, so please ensure you're sharing your full product experience!

To become a member of the Hill's Pet Community, please click the "Join Now" button at the top right corner and complete your profile.

Product Tests

When you sign up as a member, we'll ask a few questions to help us understand your consumer profile. A combination of this information, as well as the pre-qualifying questions (specific to each product test), will determine the best members to test a product.

All available product tests can be found in the "Tests" tab. There, you'll be able to register for a test by filling out the pre-qualifying survey, which contains questions specific to the product.

We only want to send products that are relevant to you. By completing your profile, and registering your interest in a specific product test, our team will choose members who are best suited to receive that product to test.

After you have registered your interest in a product test (by completing the pre-qualifying survey), we will email you within 1-2 weeks to let you know if you've been selected to participate.

Congratulations! Products typically take a few weeks to be delivered to your address after you have been selected to participate in a product test. Refer to the emails you receive from Hill's Pet Community for more details. If you have not received your product after 3 weeks of being notified that you have been selected, please take the following steps: Login to your Hill's Pet Community account and visit your dashboard, by clicking your name in the top right corner of your screen. Go to your profile and ensure your address is correct. If your address is not correct, please change it in your profile and then email our team (via the "Support" tab) to let them know so they can try to re-route your parcel deliver). If your address is correct, check to see if there are any postage delays in your area. If all looks well, there's a chance your parcel may have gone missing. Unfortunately this happens sometimes. Please email our team to speak to them about it.

Be sure to read the flyer that was included in your parcel, as it contains important product test instructions. Generally, you should start testing your product as soon as you receive it. Our Hill's Pet Community team will email you when your post-trial survey is ready, so you can share your honest feedback about the product and upload photos and videos from your testing experience.

We're glad you asked! Here are some tips to enhance your content:

  • Find a good light source – We want you to shine, just as much as the product you're testing. So find a spot in your house with a good source of natural light, or use as much artificial lighting as you can.
  • Show us the product – As you give your review, make sure to show the product that you tested while you tell us about your experience.
  • Include your pet - The Hill's Pet Community is centered around product tests for your pets, so make sure to include them in your content!
  • Find a quiet spot if you're recording a video – Try to reduce ambient noise. Find a nice quiet room where you won't be interrupted. Try to turn off any appliances that make noise, like an air conditioner or fan.

While we would love to include every member in our product tests, we have a limited number of products to send out and can only select members who meet the key targeting criteria for each product.

About Hill's PetFit

Hill’s PetFit is an easy-to-use system for monitoring a dog's weight loss. Through the combination of a wearable device, smart scale, tele-advice and Hill’s Science Diet Perfect Weight + Mobility, Hill’s PetFit can capture and track a dog’s activity factor, as soon as the wearable device is ready to go. Feeding recommendations will be customized to your pet’s weight and size.

Hill’s PetFit is meant as a supplementary tool which provides information to be used alongside your regular veterinary care, and cannot be used to diagnose, cure, mitigate, treat, or prevent animal disease. If you are at all concerned about your dog’s health, discuss their results with your veterinarian.

For best results, activate a tele-advice consultation on the PetFit app. We will be able to get you the help you need as soon as possible.

Your veterinarian is the best person to evaluate your pet’s records. We are focused on building new tools for you to deepen your understanding of your pet’s health and strengthen the communication between you and your dog’s health team.

If you'd like to keep a copy of your dog’s data outside of Hill’s PetFit app, we encourage you to take screenshots or recordings.

While all dog breeds are unique, Hill’s PetFit is designed to work for all canine breeds.

Hill’s PetFit was created for canine weight loss support and is not yet designed for other animal or human use. You should not use Hill’s PetFit for any other purpose. We do not endorse results that are non-canine.

This tool was designed to strengthen the relationship between you and your veterinarian and should help to foster greater communication and understanding. Veterinarians can now have a glimpse into their patient’s weight loss journey through images and data points over time. Being able to monitor a dog’s weight loss journey through daily monitoring can allow veterinarians to have a better understanding of their patient’s day-to-day variation and the specific activity factors being monitored.

Hill’s has a partnership with Tele-Tails, a licensed team of Veterinary nurses that have been trained to support you and your dog in this journey.

As a member of the Hill's Pet Community, your information is kept private. Your personal details, including your full name, address, and email address will not be shared with anyone outside of Hill's Pet Nutrition Inc., or The Brand Power Company, unless you opt to share your details with fellow members. Usually, only your first name and region will be visible on this website. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy.


Keeping your details up to date is essential to being selected for product tests and successful deliveries. It is important to keep your address changed so we can send your free product to the right place if you are selected to participate in a product test. To change your contact details, visit your dashboard by clicking your name in the top right corner of your screen, then go to your settings. Be sure to save your changes.

Make sure your username (i.e. your email address) and password are correct. If you still can't login, try resetting your password by entering the email address you used to sign up for Hill's Pet Community. We will send you an email with a link to reset your password.

We're sad to see you go! To delete your account, please go to Settings > Security > Delete account.
